The EZ-Tap Pro™ is a passive RS-232 tap module with hardware-level microsecond time-tagging — purpose-built for engineers who need precision timing and handshake capture that standard dual COM port solutions can’t provide.

EZ-Tap Pro features:

• Exact microsecond hardware time-tagging of all RS-232 data and handshaking events
• Captures and time-tags state changes on all 6 RS-232 handshaking lines
• Supports baud rates up to 1Mbps

Device Driver Installation

Download the latest device drivers and installation guide from our downloads page. The EZ-Tap, EZ-Tap Pro, and Versa-Tap all use the same driver. Unzip the files and run the Windows hardware installation wizard. Once installed, EZ-Tap Pro will appear as a USB COM port in Windows Device Manager.

EZ-View™ RS-232 Monitor Application

Stratus Engineering’s free EZ-View monitoring software fully supports EZ-Tap Pro, with exact microsecond time-tagging for all data and handshaking events. Download the latest version from our downloads page. The Docklight RS-232 Monitor also fully supports EZ-Tap Pro.
